Maybe I'm biased, but the most exciting car in years, the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro is going into production in March. And you think the Flex, Fusion hybrid, and Jetta deserve a higher place on the list? The word "Clueless" comes to mind.

Automaker Rebadging Revisited

The premise is soooooo stupid !!! Haven't you heard of the "Internet"? Every car website shows badge engineering within a company and badge engineering between companies ( see Matrix and Vibe). Have your people run out of ideas? Subaru is a Northeast US brand. It has little traction in the marketplace other than quirky 4x4's. At GM, it is a process getting the buyers back. Probably slower than desired, but check the Malibu's sales. They selling everything they can produce.

Wells Fargo (WFC) will become the largest U.S. bank by branches with its bid for Wachovia (WB), after Citigroup (C) withdrew from compromise negotiations late yesterday on concerns about the quality of some of Wachovia's assets. Wells Fargo, with a bid valued at $11.4B, expects the purchase to be completed by the end of the year, and denies it will have to absorb assets shakier than originally thought. As the financial crisis continues to worsen, the U.S. government is considering two dramatic steps to turn around, or at least slow, the damage: guaranteeing billions of dollars in bank debt and temporarily insuring all U.S. bank deposits.
